Outlining Our Process
At Advocate Foundation Repair, we follow a simple and basic repair process. We first start with identifying the source of ground movement. Is the foundation shifting due to improper water drainage? Too great of a grade that requires a reinforced wall? Or possibly expansive soils that required piering and beam support during construction.
The causes of shifting can vary widely and sometimes results from multiple causes. Regardless of the cause, the foundation has shifted and it’s due time for someone to fix it. So we draft up a professional solution backed by a Transferrable Lifetime Warranty.
During our planning process, we present our clients with their range of options for fixing their foundation problem. Our solutions range from:
Concrete Pressed Piers
Steel Pressed Piers
Polyurethane Foam Injection
Depending upon the scope of the project and the budget, we will apply one of the services (or sometimes multiple) to achieve our goal of repairing the foundation. We can even conclude our repair process with additional construction and renovation services to restore the cosmetic appearance of your home or office.
Our Primary Solutions
Concrete Pressed Pier
Concrete Pressed Piers often present the most affordable solution for our clients. We utilize a simple, straight forward process by excavating holes along your foundation. Then we utilize hydraulic jacks to press concrete piers into the soil (one at a time) until the surface tension is enough to lift your home. We then finish each pier with a concrete cap paired with concrete & steel shims until your home is raised to level.
Steel Pressed Pier
Similarly to concrete pressed piers, Steel Pressed Piers present the same solution, but with a different material option. Steel pressed piers are often more expensive and take longer to install. These materials are pressed into the ground via a hydraulic jack (similar to concrete piers) and then reinforced with steel caps & shims.
Polyurethane Foam Injection
Lastly, we offer Polyurethane Foam Injection as a supplemental treatment for nearly all of our residential and commercial repair applications. Polyurethane Foam is a highly expansive, highly resilient foam that can easily lift solid concrete slabs back to level with minimally invasive installation techniques. Often this solution is utilized for concrete decks positioned in backyards, driveways, or flat areas where excavation may be difficult.
“I am very happy with the job they did. They came quickly, explained the cause of the problem; were honest in their assessment of what could be done; did not press, but were pleasant and professional. Their work was consistent, quick and they did not mind being observed while they worked. In addition, they followed up to ensure all work was done and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent company.”

Do I need repairs on my home or office?
Do you want to know if you have sinking concrete / cement slab foundation problems?
Does it seem that your foundation may be buckled. How can you tell?
Common sense is your best guide. Look for the signs for foundation problems. If your home does not feel right, or if you are seeing damage, you may need foundation repairs.
If you home feels fine and you have no visible damage, then it is very likely that your home is fine.
What indicators should I look for? How do I know f I need repairs?
So, what signs should you look for? Here is a simple check list that you can use to make a preliminary assessment.
- Floors or counters are sloping. If you put a ball on the floor and it rolls off, you have slopes. Drops of an inch or so across a foundation are not a problem. Once slopes begin to exceed an inch of drop in 20 feet, they become noticeable and can become a problem.
- Doors that stick closed or open. If a door is sticking closed because the top or the bottom of the door hits the door frame or the floor, it means that your floors are sloping, you may have a foundation problem.
- Cracks in interior or exterior walls or ceilings such as zig-zag cracks in bricks. If you have cracks in your sheetrock or brick, there is a very good chance that your foundation is moving.
Do you offer a warranty?
Advocate Foundation Repair offers a transferrable lifetime warranty on its concrete pilings. There are no ifs, ands, or buts; the warranty remains valid as long as it is transferred from owner to owner.
